Well, it’s official – we have a website! Setting up a website for an event like this is always a bit of a challenge. Do we use an open-source theme or try to create our own? WordCamp Whistler used a modification of the Minimalia theme, which worked fairly well. This year we ended up choosing this theme, iBlogPro, graciously donated to us by PageLines. If you’re looking for commercial GPL themes, then definitely check them up.
Thanks to everyone who has given advice or guidance with regards to this years conference. A special mention goes out to Aaron Hockley of WordCamp Portland and beer drinking fame for giving us some information about the successful Portland event.
Stay tuned for some more WordCamp Vancouver information, as well as a few surveys to help us better target the event.

Great job!!
PS – time to move the search button, the ’subscribe’ link is wrapping under the nav bar in Chrome.
Thanks. I moved the Travel item into the About section for now, hopefully that fixes it.
Er, is this where I can order a new a new iMac? He he… ; )
What dates are you guys shooting for?
Ah, wait I see it. Who’s doing the presentation on editable comments?
We’ll be doing a call for speakers soon. Until then we currently don’t have any specific topics scheduled. Check back in a few weeks.
I’m really hoping I can make it to this, it sounds really interesting and I’m sure there’s a lot for me to learn.
I have beer drinking fame? Sweet!
