We’re very lucky and proud to have sold out WordCamp Vancouver and want to make sure our attendees have the very best experience. Aside from your admission getting you access to some great speakers, talks, the Genius Bar, coffee, lunch, a social at Granville Island Brewing, and there are also a couple of bonuses…

The first are the buttons designed by Dale Mugford of Brave New Code and made by Six Cent Press:

We also have water bottles featuring all of our major sponsors made by Linusco:

Finally, we have a raffle where you can enter to win two tickets to Bard on the Beach:

All of these items are included with your admission so be sure to enter the draw when you arrive and pick up your free button and water bottle while you’re at it. See you Saturday!

Well, it’s official – we have a website! Setting up a website for an event like this is always a bit of a challenge. Do we use an open-source theme or try to create our own? WordCamp Whistler used a modification of the Minimalia theme, which worked fairly well. This year we ended up choosing this theme, iBlogPro, graciously donated to us by PageLines. If you’re looking for commercial GPL themes, then definitely check them up.

Thanks to everyone who has given advice or guidance with regards to this years conference. A special mention goes out to Aaron Hockley of WordCamp Portland and beer drinking fame for giving us some information about the successful Portland event.

Stay tuned for some more WordCamp Vancouver information, as well as a few surveys to help us better target the event.
